The BRABUS PowerXtra B40S-550 performance upgrade delivers a commanding increase in power and torque for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class W463A, transforming the G 500 into a vehicle with true BRABUS-level performance while maintaining factory drivability and reliability.
At the core of the system are two BRABUS-developed special turbochargers, featuring enlarged compressor units and reinforced core assemblies with upgraded axial bearings. These components are engineered to handle increased boost pressure while ensuring long-term durability under demanding conditions. Performance enhancement is managed by the BRABUS PowerXtra engine control module, precisely calibrated to integrate seamlessly with the factory engine management system using a plug-and-play installation.
The result is a dramatic increase in output, with power rising from 422 hp to 550 hp and torque surging from 610 Nm to 800 Nm. This translates into noticeably stronger acceleration, improved throttle response, and effortless power delivery across the rev range—whether on the highway or under load.
Despite the substantial performance gains, the PowerXtra B40S-550 maintains OEM refinement and everyday usability. Optional BRABUS Vmax tuning allows the electronically limited top speed to be configured according to driver preference.
